Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starts on Thursday at midnight!

Anyone else getting excited for the Nordstrom Anniversary sale?  Just a reminder that early access for cardholders starts on Thursday at midnight PST (aka Wednesday after dinner if you’re on the west coast, or 3am Thursday on the east coast).  The public sale starts July 22nd.

I went to the store today with some girlfriends and saw that the early access tents are already being setup. I can’t wait to see what goodies will be inside!

What’s New for the 2016 Anniversary Sale

Every year Nordstrom tweaks the Anniversary Sale just a little bit. There are new designers and new procedures.

This year I’ve noticed 3 things to start with. I’ll keep adding to the list as I find out more intel!

1. Level 4 cardholders get an Early Access preshop opportunity 1 day before the start of Early Access. This is instores only and you should be receiving your invitation in the mail.

2.  Everyone will be able to earn Nordstrom Notes via their expanded Rewards program

3. New designer joining the sale this year: Alexander Wang

4. Double points for Nordstrom card holders has disappeared. We used to see double points during Early Access and the first weekend of the sale. This is a huge bummer!  You can still use your Personal Triple Points day — this is what I’ll be doing!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2016 – Handbag Sneak Peek!

I have seen a few of the handbags that will be part of the 2016 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I’m here to report back!

Let me get the bad news out of the way first: unfortunately, this year there are no Chloe or Burberry bags in the sale.  A total bummer because I always look forward to these!

I do still think there are some bags to get excited about!  Here’s a few of the standouts for me:

3.1 Phillip Lim – Quill bag in both large and small sizes

This came in black but I’m not sure what other colors.

Rebecca Minkoff Vanity Saddle Bag

It’s shown here in this picture in black leather, but the anniversary sale options are in suede. I believe the colors were a camel suede and a burgundy suede.

This one was priced really well at about $120.

In addition to these, I remember seeing an MZ Wallace, a few Tory Burch totes and a wallet, a few Kate Spade bags and wallets and a cute Coach tote.

Nordstrom Rewards – Get a free $10 Nordstrom Gift Card!

Nordstrom Fashion Rewards is a great program where you can earn Nordstrom Notes (gift cards) for all your Nordstrom purchases. If you are a card holder, you are already a part of the program.  However, Nordstrom JUST opened up the program to non card holders as well!

From now until July 10, if you sign up for the Nordstrom Rewards program, they will send you a free $10 Nordstrom gift card to spend at the Anniversary Sale which is their biggest sale of the year.

You earn 1 point per dollar spent at Nordstrom via cash, check or non-Nordstrom credit/debit card. (Returns are deducted, and purchases paid via Nordstrom gift cards don’t qualify either. I think this is because when you purchase the gift card, you do earn points.)
